Aptitude tests - ZV

this test demonstrates the dog's innate abilities and is used to check heredity. All hunting breeds can take this type of test; aptitude tests test the natural way of hunting small game and other fur-bearing game.

Dyeing tests - BZ

after this test, the dog can officially follow cloven-hoofed game. It is tested in the forest. All hunting breeds can participate in the tests. Put simply - the dog follows the color (blood) and must find a clawed animal that is hidden somewhere within a certain time limit.

Exams for expulsion - ZVVZ

tests for searching, driving out and catching up cloven-hoofed game in dogs with a withers height of up to 55 cm (ZVVZ). This is a test where the dog searches for and then chases away game that is in the forest. After this test, the dog is authorized to participate in races.

Forest tests - LZ

one of the more difficult tests, which is the ticket to work on finding and following cloven-hoofed game, especially in forest hunting. All hunting breeds that do not have LZ in their test regulations can participate in the tests. In this test, you will encounter a total of 10 disciplines.

Autumn exams - PZ

This is already a slightly higher level of examination for terrier breeds. After this test, the dog can actively go hunting and fetch small game from the water and the field.

Water work tests - VP

water work tests (VP) - a dog with this test can search, locate and bring small game, especially water game hunting. It is tested on large areas of water.

Comprehensive exams - VZ

The most difficult tests, which if you meet, the dog gets the "U" title, which points out that the dog is a versatile dog. In short - they are all surface tests combined into one. These exams are always two days long.

Drilling tests - ZN

they qualify the dog for underground work. For dachshunds and terriers only. ZN are without contact between the dog and the fox, that means - the fox is physically separated from the tested dog by a grid in the artificial hole. This is the only exam that is always recorded in the pedigree and can only be taken 3 times.

Hound coloring tests - BZH

cloven game follow-up with a special focus on demanding hunting and black and tall game follow-up. BZH are held for 1 day and all hunting breeds except hound breeds can participate in the tests.

Hunting tests - HZ

they qualify the dog to search for and track hoofed game (tall and black). HZ are two-day. During the tests, the natural hunting of live game (big game, black game, foxes and hares) is tested.
